Hitting the books

Welcome to the home of my PsyD adventure. This is a site in its infancy. It is here to document my journey though my PsyD program. I look forward to documenting my journey along the way.

17 June 2010 UPDATE: I was admitted to a PsyD program that I would have started this Fall, but after some major administrative issues with that school, have decided to pursue a new program just outside of Portland, OR at Pacific University. I will be taking a few more classes to fulfill the academic prerequisites during the 2010/2011 school year, as well as taking the GRE on September 7th in preparation for a Fall 2011 start at Pacific.

I am excited and nervous about this adventure, but most importantly, I am confident I have made the right decision for me and my goals to serve transgender, genderqueer, intersex and gender nonconforming individuals and communities as both an advocate and through direct therapeutic care.

What The Future Holds:

In addition to using this site to document my process of becoming a licensed psychologist, this site will ultimately become the site for my practice. By documenting my process, I hope to give future clients insight into my development and evolution in order to allow them to make the best informed decision when seeking the best therapeutic environment for them.
